William W. Landreth, W820 Mansfield, a pioneer resident of the Spokane area, died yesterday,&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mr. Landreth was born April 5, 1867, in Multnomah county, Ore.  He attended grade school in Olympia, moving to the Crescent community near Reardan, Wash., with his family in 1879.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He was married to Lovia B. Emley in 1894. The couple farmed in the Crescent area until 1927 when Mr. Landreth retired and they came to Spokane to live. Mrs.  Landreth died in 1939.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
As a member of one of the pioneer families in the Spokane area, Mr. Landreth took part in early vigilante activities. He often described trips to Walla Walla for groceries and other supplies as well as Indian incidents during his youth. He was one of the promoters of the Crescent cheese factory which operated from about 1911 to 1916, He was a member of the Masonic lodge.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mr. Landreth is survived by a daughter, Mrs, Theckla R. Davidson, Omaha. Neb.; three sons, Thomas A., Espanola, Wash.: Milton W., Reardan, and Harold D., Spokane; two sisters, Mrs. Ella B.  Carstens, Spokane, and Mrs. R. B.  Shepherd, Marysville, Wash., and nine grandchildren.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Funeral services will he held from Hazen &amp;amp; Jaeger&amp;#039;’s at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday. Dr. E. F. Harold of St. Paul&amp;#039;s Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.&lt;br /&gt;
