Funeral services for William
H. Padley, 87, W2328 Second,
resident of Spokane and Reardan
for 54 years, will be at 11 a, m.
Friday at Smith's.

The Very Rev. Frederick Ward
Kates will officiate. Interment
will be in Riverside Park cemetery
with the Masonic lodge assisting.

He had been hospitalized several
times in the last few months
and died Monday night in a
Spokane hospital.

Mr. Padley, born in July, 1867
in Pinckney, Mich., was graduated
with the law class of 1897
from the University of Michigan.

He taught mathematics and
science in the Reardan high
school from 1900 to 1904 and
from 1905 to 1910. He was
assistant Lincoln county superintendent
of schools for three years.

Mr. Padley opened a law office
in Reardan in 1910, carrying on
a general legal practice with
insurance as a sideline. He sold his
practice about a year ago to
Warden Hanel and his associate,
A. C. McNulty. He maintained
an apartment in Spokane for
many years while carrying on his
law practice in Reardan.

He is survived by his wife,
Eugenia, at the home, They
were married in 1905. He also is
survived by a daughter, Willine
J., who was admitted to the bar
in 1932 and practiced in Spokane
15 years. She now is a nun, Sister
Mary Julianna, Order of St.
Joseph, in a convent in Nelson,
B. C.

Mr. Padley was a member of
the Masonic and Odd Fellow
lodges of Reardan.
