Mrs. Eda Schneider is shown at the telephone switchboard<br />
answering the last call when the old system was converted<br />
to dial. This ended 35 years of service at the Reardan,<br />
Wash., exchange with the Reardan Telephone company, later<br />
the Interstate Telephone company and at present the General<br />
Telephone Company of the Northwest. The name Eda<br />
had become synonymous to telephone service through the<br />
years in the Reardan area.<br />
