REARDAN, Wash, — Graveside services&lt;br /&gt;
for Sister Juliana&lt;br /&gt;
Padley, C.S.J., 62, of Spring&lt;br /&gt;
Lake, N.J., were held recently&lt;br /&gt;
at Bellevue, Wash.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Born in Reardan, Sister Padley&lt;br /&gt;
graduated from Lewis and&lt;br /&gt;
Clark College and the University&lt;br /&gt;
of Washington. She received&lt;br /&gt;
a law degree from Washington&lt;br /&gt;
in 1931, then practiced law until&lt;br /&gt;
becoming a nun in 1946. She&lt;br /&gt;
taught school at St. Margaret’s&lt;br /&gt;
and Blanchet High School in British&lt;br /&gt;
Columbia, From 1961 to 196&lt;br /&gt;
she was the provincial secretary&lt;br /&gt;
for the Sisters of St. Joseph at&lt;br /&gt;
Bellevue, then moved to New&lt;br /&gt;
Jersey where she was secretary-general&lt;br /&gt;
of the Sisters of St. Joseph.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sister Padley was a member&lt;br /&gt;
of the Washington State Bar Association,&lt;br /&gt;
Pi Sigma Alpha, a political&lt;br /&gt;
science fraternity; Phi&lt;br /&gt;
Delta, a women’s law sorority,&lt;br /&gt;
and the Gavel, a debate honorary.&lt;br /&gt;
She also received the Coif&lt;br /&gt;
Award at the law school.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sister Padley was the daughter&lt;br /&gt;
of the late Mr. and Mrs.&lt;br /&gt;
W. H. Padley of Reardan. Her&lt;br /&gt;
father was superintendent of&lt;br /&gt;
Reardan schools some 70 years&lt;br /&gt;
ago, then superintendent of Lincoln&lt;br /&gt;
County schools and later&lt;br /&gt;
postmaster and an attorney at&lt;br /&gt;
Reardan for many years.&lt;br /&gt;
