Memorial service for Marvin D.&lt;br /&gt;
Evers, 72, is scheduled for p.m. today&lt;br /&gt;
at First Congregational Church in&lt;br /&gt;
Dayton; Hubbard-Rogg Funeral Home&lt;br /&gt;
in Dayton is in charge of arrangements.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mr. Evers, who was born in Reardan,&lt;br /&gt;
Wash., died Monday.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He graduated from Washington&lt;br /&gt;
State University with degrees in&lt;br /&gt;
agriculture, science and education. He&lt;br /&gt;
taught vocational agriculture at Dayton&lt;br /&gt;
High School for 32 years.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After he retired, he taught at Walla&lt;br /&gt;
Walla Community College and worked&lt;br /&gt;
for Carroll Adams Tractor and&lt;br /&gt;
Equipment Co, in Walla Walla.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He held a Future Farmers of&lt;br /&gt;
America Honorary Farmer degree and&lt;br /&gt;
was named the outstanding vo-ag&lt;br /&gt;
teacher in Washington state three&lt;br /&gt;
times.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mr. Evers was a professional sheep&lt;br /&gt;
and swine judge and was recently&lt;br /&gt;
named to the Washington Pork&lt;br /&gt;
Producers Hall of Fame.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He was active in the Columbia&lt;br /&gt;
County Fair Board and Bureau and the&lt;br /&gt;
Spokane Junior Livestock Show. He&lt;br /&gt;
was a member of First Congregational&lt;br /&gt;
Church in Dayton.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He is survived by his wife of 46 years,&lt;br /&gt;
Norma Evers, at the home; two&lt;br /&gt;
daughters, Kathy Meyer of Pullman&lt;br /&gt;
and Mary Sue Evers of Canby, Ore.;&lt;br /&gt;
one brother, Howard Evers of Medical&lt;br /&gt;
Lake; and four grandchildren.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Memorial contributions may be&lt;br /&gt;
made to the Marvin Evers Scholarship&lt;br /&gt;
Fund, First Congregational Memorial&lt;br /&gt;
Fund, or the American Heart Fund in&lt;br /&gt;
care of Hubbard-Rogg Funeral Home,&lt;br /&gt;
