Marine Private First Class [[James Rinker]] has written his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rinker, he is on the Marshall islands, He entered the service 28 months ago and was with the communications department on a bomber squadron, that cleaned up bypassed islands in the Pacific. The group has been broken up and he is waiting reassignment.&lt;br /&gt;

Private first class Marine [[James Rinker]] arrived home last week for a thirty day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rinker. He entered the service in June, 1945, and the last year was based on the Marshall Islands where he was a field telephone man in the communications department of the Marine air corps. Following his furlough the will report to El Toro, California, to await his discharge.&lt;br /&gt;

Marine Corporal [[James Rinker]] had his discharge April 20 at San Diego, Calif., and arrived home Saturday. He served 34 months, 14 being in the Pacific with the communications department of the Marine Air Corps. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rinker.&lt;br /&gt;
