			Charles Albert Wagner, for the past 29 years one of the best known residents of Petaluma, and a retired farmer, died at his home at Cedar Grove Park ion Fridav afternoon after an i11ness of many months. He had been confined to his bed since December 17.

			The head of a large family which he had reared to manhood and womanhood, he was a splendid citizen and a devoted husband and parent, and leaves many friends. He lived a home life and belonged to no organizations. For years he resided on Third street, this city, also on the "Hardin ranch on Sonoma mountains and also at Sebastopol, selling his ranch property and locating here on the old Bell homestead at Cedar Grove Park. Had he lived until June seventh, he would have attained his 81st year. He was a native of Germany.

			Mr. Wagner was the beloved husband of Mrs. Emma Marie Wagner and father of Mrs. Alma Morris and Ernest Wagner of Petaluma, Mrs. Meta Enas of Napa, Walter Wagner of Bakersfield, Albert of Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Ella Jones of Sacramento, Mrs. Ida Gerhardt of Sebastopol, Albert Wagner of Honolulu and the late Otto Wagner.

			He was the brother of Mrs. Mollie Franke and Fred Wagner of Reardan, Wash.; Adolphf Wagner of Spokane and Gottleib of Wyoming and also left a sister in Germany. There are eight grandchildren to mourn the passing of the patriarchal father.

			The body has been removed to the Mount parlors, 216 Washington street, the funeral arrangements not having as yet been made.
