Junior-Senior Prom

Our next activity was the Junior-Senior Prom [April 21]. Everyone worked hard planning and decorating the gymnasium, The theme was “Hawaiian Cruise”, and the gym was stunningly decorated to carry out this theme. The king and queen: Ralph Rhodes and Renate Bockholt were seated on their thrones and were presented with two Beautiful Camellia Leis direct from Hawaii. Princes and princesses were: Ed Shearer, Roger Hein, Phyllis Meyer and Carol Lee Brommer.

Music was supplied by the Cheney Orchestra and the entertainment was supplied by Miss Shirlee Suenaga and Miss Antonella Chack, formerly of Hawaii, but now students at Holy Names College of Spokane. Also the Junior quartet sang and Marlene Begeron, Verla Dickey and Cherryl Jacobson sang “Blue Hawaii”.

Those who served at the banquet were: Sally Baldwin, Janice Hendrix, Judy Hein, Madalyn Kelso, Herbert Franson, Tom Frase, Jerry Schultz and Dick Kamm.
