STUDENT COUNCIL

On October 22, Mr. McKay, Dale Dahlin, Marie Carstens, Carol Hein, and Janet
Clinton went to Odessa to attend the Bi-County Student Leaders Conference. The topic
Reardan discussed was Initiation. Other topics discussed were as follows: Wilbur—
Driving education; Odessa—Problem of painting; Harrington—Youth programs at noon &
night; Lind—Discontinuing baseball and limitation of games; Almira—Boys taking girls
subjects and vice versa; Ritzville—Halloween vandalism; Sprague—Unexcused absences,
Edwall—Non-participation in outside activities as the Junior Livestock Show, and Daven-
port—Debate teams.
Reardan offered to be host to the Spring Student Leaders Conference but since only two replies were received from schools as to what topics they wished to have discussed the meeting was cancelled.
The duties of the Student Council are as follows: Make recommendations for the student body to vote on. Give classes and organizations permission to have parties. Student Council officers for 1951-52 are:
President: Dale Dahlin
Vice President: Daniel Plaster
Secretary: Janet Clinton
Treasurer: Carol Hein
Advisor: Mr. McKay
